Yes, finally Telkomsel launches new package for its 3G Internet service: Telkomsel 3G Flash Unlimited. Previously in my post, Telkomsel Flash was charging on time-based or usage-based, but in unlimited package: no usage quota anymore, but now bandwidth speed is chopped.
Telkomsel Flash Unlimited can only be applied by kartoHalo subscribers, which means you have to be existing Telkomsel Halo GSM postpaid customer to enjoy this package. You have to be existing customer to apply this offering, at least 3 months. There are 2 offerings, one with free USB HSDPA Modem (I believe the model is Huawei E220, let me know okay?) and the other one is data subscribing only. To apply for free modem, you have to subscribe 1-year-contract package.
With Modem:
- Basic : IDR 250,000, speed up to 256 kbps (means 30 KB/s !!)
- Advance : IDR 350,000, speed up to 512 kbps (64 KB/s)
- Pro : IDR 525,000, speed up to 3,6 Mbps
Without Modem:
- Basic : IDR 125,000, speed up to 256 kbps
- Advance : IDR 225,000, speed up to 512 kbps (64 KB/s)
- Pro : IDR 400,000, speed up to 3,6 Mbps
FYI, although it was advertised as unlimited, only first 3GB will get the speed as told above, after using 3GB in that month, the bandwidth will be reduced down to 64 kbps for Basic package subscribers.
After subscribing to this service, you have to configure your PC or Laptop to connect to Telkomsel Flash APN. Remember to use correct APN, fail to do this will make you surf Internet in retail price (Rp 12/KB). See my article at here (Step by Step to connect to Telkomsel Flash)

Updated 15 Sept 2008: Indosat has also launched Indosat 3.5G Unlimited package, similar to this Flash Unlimited. More detail can be read from my post here.

Good afternoon,
Telkomsel flash my prepaid users, but the connections are often disconnected wherever we operate, and its speed rarely exceeds 100kpbs but can reach speeds of 256kpbs promotion. I do not know whether the connections are not good telkomsel flash or other problems. Keep in mind if I use the modem is still ok when using another provider. Do I have to switch to another provider or party TelkomselFlash can provide service and better comfort.

Saya pengguna telkomsel flash pra bayar, namun koneksinya sering terputus dimanapun kami berada, dan kecepatannya jarang sekali melebihi 100kpbs padahal pada promosinya kecepatan bisa mencapai 256kpbs. saya tidak tahu apakah koneksi telkomsel flash yang tidak bagus ataukah ada masalah lainya. Perlu diketahui kalau modem yang saya gunakan masih baik baik saja bila menggunakan provider yang lain. Apakah saya harus berpindah ke provider yang lain atau pihak telkomselflash dapat memberikan pelayanan dan kenyamanan yang lebih baik lagi.

Hey guys,
I need help.. So I purchased flash plan for 360 kbps with the huawei modem as well (about 500.000 rp) and they told me I would have internet connection for 6 months. I understand that there are limit upon which I could use the maximum speed, but since last month I couldn’t access the internet at all. I use a mac, and whenever I connect it would not receive any data but will send a small amount of data. I’m frustrated since CS was useless and I would gladly throw this thing in the trash if only it wasn’t so expensive. Any help would be much appreciated! If you can help me, I might give out a joke or two hehe

October 11, 2010, I started actively using Flash Unlimited, initially disappointed, but after two tries the result is very satisfactory. Modem using Huawei E1553, Flash Unlimited package IDR 100,000 / 30 days, the maximum speed of 384 Kbps (Kbps not KBps, different lhooo …). His real speed after I have used ever reach 60 Kbps (480 Kbps), average 25 KBps, this place is its 3G frequencies two bars, at home if its 3G frequencies do not exist, but still tolerable for internet access at speeds average 10 Kbps (WCDMA).

Cape sekali : _Saya sudah hilang Waktu, Hilang produktifitas kerja, Hilang Kepercayaan client saya. Hanya karena Ulah Kartu TELKOMSEL- FLASH.(081214630281)… Tgl 20 10.2010 saya beli, Tgl. 19.11.2010 isi pulsa ulang,tpi tdk masuk terus ke GAPARI Cirebon..biasa proses 3 hari (3×24 jam). belum juga beres…balik lagi, jawabannya 7x24jam,..Pulsa masuk setelah seminggu.,,,tpi tidak bisa pakai, terus saya coba ketik UL ON 100000 ,ok jalan. Tpi baru beberapa langkah no access internet. Saya balik lagi…, jawabnnya dari pihak GAPARI: saya pake GPRS, Padahal kartu FLASH Unlimited sudah diset untuk broadbands edp frec. Disini jelas bahwa fret Broadband TELKOMSEL FLASH masih awut-awutan dan belum waktunya untuk di jual…..Akhirnya saya Buang itu kartu….!!! dan saya tetap pakai yang dulu lagi (saya tidak sebutkan nama providernya) yang pasti masih Baik.
Bagi teman-teman jangan tergiur oleh janji-janji perusahaan besar karena yang besar itu belum tentu baik yang ada gaya Capitalisme…..Menghisap, Menggelikan, dan tidak punya Commitment terhadap user…!

bener,telkomsel semenjak 24 des lalu kecepatannya turun rata2 8 kbps,tp klo quota masi ada bisa nyampe 58 kbps(lumayan,walau sangat jauh dr yg diharapkan)quota nya juga dipake 2 hari udah habis…operator lintah darat..selama pake flash kecepatanya paling tinggi cuma 78 kbps gak lebih…yg buat sakit hati kalo udah liat iklannya di tv..emang tuh operator udah gak punya harga diri…ngakunya paling tua…tapi juga paling gak ada otaknya

sya kira punya saya paling lambat,….pernah berkeinginan hijrah ke telkomflash,…karena cuma itu yg blum saya gunakan,.
saya pernah make XLunlimited,IM2Broom,Axis,Three(3),CDMA(CERIA).Tapi blum pernah makai yg namanya telkomflah…karena tanpa sengaja baca nih Forum, iihhhhhh jadi ngeri deh pindah-2 lagi. kalo gitu gue bertahan aja dgn yg sekarang….lebih mendingan sih dari pada yg lain. kalo mo nyoba silahkan aja mungkin lebih baik dari pada yg lain… coba saja pakai kartu “3` pilih paketnya dari 500Mb rp 35rb/bln – 5Gb rp 100/bln. tapi mohon sarannya ya kalo ada yg lebih bagus dari 3.
