Singapore F1 Night GP: Boring and Lots of Accidents

Watching from tv currently, seeing F. Massa started from pole position but out of point, Kimi Raikkonen also misses 4 points, what else can be said.

At last, we only see Fernando Alonso finish as first place, followed by Nikki Rosberg. In the last scene before trophy, you can see that a line of Singapore sexy girls are greeting the champions in their waiting lounge (what is not said is they speak Singlish lorr).

Singapore Night F1 GP is just a marketing hip. The first ever night race of F1 apparently causes some troubles. Some part of road are bumpy, bottom part of cars were splitting fire. Lots of tree leaves were torn and flown on the road. And one last thing, I think it is not bright enough?

Sure it attracts lots of tourist. Visiting Singapore, finding Merlion, Singapore Eye, Sentosa, and of course its Orchard Road will definitely an experience for first-time tourist. But for Indonesian people trying hard to get that F1 ticket and flew there, I think it is not worthed.

Better find a Shanghai F1 ticket!

or Just wait A1 Grand prix in Lippo Karawaci, Tangerang on 6 – 8 February 2009. Lippo Karawaci will be modifying parts of the town near the famous Pelita Harapan University (UPH). The track is being designed by Tilke Gmbh, the company responsible for other circuits where A1GP has raced, such as Shanghai and Sepang.

After 2 years we’ve been seeing GSM Operator battle for 3G Internet solution, let me conclude what options we have currently (data gathered as per Sept 12th, 2008).

The hot offers for this time being is : Indosat 3G Unlimited, Telkomsel Flash Unlimited, and Indosat M2 new package. Read each provider’s summary in my article below.

Indosat M2

Indosat M2 (IM2) is a subsidiary of PT Indosat Tbk. Their business is mainly in providing pay TV and Internet services. Mobile Internet services comes with providing a USIM Card with prefix 0814, it can be used for data only, voice call is not available.

IM2 offices are separated from Indosat Galeri, but you can find them operating together in some places, such as at Galeri Indosat Artha Graha, Roxy, Pondok Indah. Or you can go to their new store at Plasa Semanggi.

Currently they offer 2 options for mobile Internet

Pre-paid option.
Package name is called IM2 Broom. Similar to prepaid GSM, you have to buy voucher to top-up your account. Vouchers can be purchased from BNI and Permata Bank ATM. The good thing is if you don’t fully use up your quota then it can be used for following month depending of expiration of the voucher. This is a cheap Internet solution for light users. Voucher prices are vary:

IDR 50,000.- for 100MB, expired in 30 days after first use
IDR 100,000.- for 200 MB, expired in 45 days.
IDR 150,000.- for 300 MB, expired in 60 days.

A new promo package with 3G/HSDPA Model is also available. By paying approx. IDR 125,000 for 6 months contract (by charging to Mandiri or BCA Credit Card) you will get ZTE MF620 HSDPA modem plus Voucher for 200MB data.

Post-paid option.
For quite heavy users, you need a bigger Internet quota. You will be billed on monthly basis, separated from Indosat GSM Matrix billing (if you also have it). Here I only list cheap packages

Indosat as a 3G Player is often not too aggresively pursuing customer by not offering cheap mobile Internet. They have IM3 and Mentari for GSM Prepaid, Matrix for post-paid, and Indosat 3G / 3.5G Broadband for Internet-only users.

Wave of Netbook: Axioo Pico

Before we start, to be honest that I don’t have Axioo Pico, but I’d like to post a Axioo Pico netbook review.

Netbook term means sub-notebook, mainly be used only for light-working and Internet browsing activities. You might be already noticed some PC manufacturers trying to deliver this kind of small laptop to market. Currently in Indonesia, netbook is still a new term with small market, that will be booming in few years ahead.

The first and successful one is Asus Eee PC. Long queue on its first launching means that people really needs affordable laptop. Another Taiwan company, MSI also launched MSI Wind Netbook on May 2008. And in this post I’d like to talk about relatively new Singapore-based PC manufacturer Axioo with its latest product: Axioo Pico.

Upcoming Jay Chou New Album 2008

Jay Chou Capricorn Album Cover Tired of my old Jay Chou ??? MP3 Collections, I have been playing them again and again. When will Jay Chou new album be released?

The last album was released on Nov 2, 2007 (Cowboy on the Run). And the latest song introduced by him was Kungfu Dunk OST and ???? (Thousands Mile) for Beijing 2008 Olympic Games. So many fans have been waiting for real 2008 new album release.

After rumour said it would be released on August 2008, delay .. and delay, then here comes the exact date of Jay album release: 9 October 2008 (from Jay-chou.net) while pre-order starts on 24th September 2008. Album title name is not published yet Capricorn (???).

What new style will he bring in this album? Cover album is a bit dark since Jay imitated Joker (from Batman Dark Knight) style. It is said that first hit single will be titled “Fragrant Rice“. Let’s wait for this song and lyrics.

Jay Chou’s new album has been leaked online (again). Scheduled to be released on the 9th this month, “Capricorn” can now be found on several Mainland China websites, available for download. His company, JVR Music, announced in a statement yesterday that the leaked songs were not the final versions from the album (probably demos), and they (the 11 songs) were not the final track listing. From “November’s Chopin” to “On the Run” and now “Capricorn”, songs from the albums were leaked before the albums’ scheduled release, leading one to question if this was a publicity stunt to gather more attention and news. In the JVR Music’s official statement, the company reiterated the damaging impact piracy has (on them), and stated that they would never resort to such a shameful publicity stunt.

What I’ve got was pretty obvious, I could say is the recording is near production (if they still call them demos). Dunno, but some tracks I heard were a bit ‘not smooth’ and some false notes sung by Jay. Track list for Capricorn album is here. Apparently, previous leaked album have incorrect song titles. Latest post told that this is the correct one. When I was in Hong Kong, Capricorn album cover is this:
