@tyas: I used China Eastern from Singapore to London with transit at Shanghai. Baggages were transferred automatically during transit.

Never got delayed so I could not explain, but for reputable airlines including China Eastern delays are very minimum. And if delay causes miss of connecting flight, they will arrange next flight and accomodation. No worry.

hai..
This web is great.. thanks for the info.
But, i wanna ask during using a China Eastern Airlines, did your baggage claim until the last destination (in London)..
I believe you must stop over in other country, wasn't it?
Did u not afraid being delay and if it happen and more than 8 hours, should we arrange some transit visa?

thanks,
tyas

@Maria: thanks for visiting this site.

If you love exploring, I suggest you to buy Oyster Card and London Pass (londonpass.com) to explore each part of London using tube/underground. There's plenty of places that are worth exploring and not covered by sightseeing bus.

But if you have problem in travelling with daugters, you can buy Big Bus Tour on the spot. It is a hop on hop off bus, but only cover major spots.

I just come across you site. As I will be traveling to London with my family next week I was looking for some last minute tips. There will be five of us including my three daughters. I have bought coach tickets to Paris. I am wondering if I should get tickets sightseeing on the bus on the net or wait till I get to London. We will be there for eight nights from 18th November.

Great site. will come again.
